Rooted in the rich traditions of Carnatic music, Lakkshya brings together a diverse group of musicians united by a shared spirit of exploration and experimentation. Founded in 2019 by violinist and composer K.J. Diliip and vocalist-violinist Ila Diliip, the ensemble seamlessly bridges classical and contemporary expressions through intricate melodies, dynamic rhythms, and global influences. Their music moves beyond traditional boundaries while retaining the essence of Carnatic ragas and rhythms, creating a distinctive sound that celebrates India’s musical heritage through a contemporary lens. Following successful European tours and the release of their debut album Ecstasy, Lakkshya continues to explore new possibilities in Indian contemporary music.
