Deeply rooted in the musical traditions of Meghalaya, DA-LA-RITI carries forward the rich cultural legacy of the Khasi community through music that is both authentic and evolving. Guided by the vision of preserving indigenous folk traditions, the band is closely associated with the SHLEM Institute of Music in Shillong, where Khasi music continues to be nurtured and celebrated. Their journey has taken them from the hills of Northeast India to international stages, including Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. With two members honoured by the North East Zonal Cultural Centre’s Young Talented Artistes Award, DA-LA-RITI continues to showcase the enduring beauty and relevance of Khasi folk music to audiences around the world.
