Sarun Pinyarat
Sarun is the CEO of Fungjai, the leading Thai music-community startup he founded in 2014, connecting indie artists and fans through streaming, media, and events.
Since 2018, Fungjai’s influence has extended to the international stage through its collaboration with Seen Scene Space and Have You Heard? in producing Maho Rasop (mahorasop.com). This premier independent festival in Bangkok has drawn significant international headliners, including AIR, Slowdive, and Interpol, among a distinguished lineup.
Demonstrating his commitment to Bangkok’s music ecosystem, he also founded ‘Bangkok Music City’ (bangkokmusiccity.com) in November 2019, Thailand’s first music conference and showcase festival. The successful BMC 2024 event featured over 60 artists (40 local, 20 international) across 5 stages in the Chareonkrung Creative District, attracting nearly 10,000 attendees and more than 200 international delegates and speakers over two days.
